Access Charter School recognizes a need for parents who work to be provided with options for morning/extended care services. This opportunity also allows the school to provide an assortment of extracurricular activities that will enhance student learning and build social skills among students. Access Charter School will provide the following extended care programs based on student participation and staff availability:
The Morning/Extended Care program will be offered as follows:
Extended Care will not be provided on the day prior to Thanksgiving, winter, or Spring Breaks. Additionally, Extended Care will not be provided on the last day of school or the evening of the annual fundraiser.
Full time payments are due in advance by the first school day of each week. Missed or late payments may result in removal from the Morning/Extended Care program.
Returned checks will result in a $25.00 return check fee and the student will not be eligible for morning/extended care until paid. After two returned checks all payments will be required to be in the form of cash or money order.
Parents arriving late will be charged $1.00 per minute, payable to the Extended Care staff. Two (2) or more late pick-ups may result in the student being removed from the Extended Care program.
Morning/Extended care services will be provided as available based on staff participation. School day ratios are not followed during after care services. Students must be able to work in a 5:1 (student to teacher) ratio during after care to participate.
Students who are not picked up during the regular assigned dismissal time by 3:00 for Middle school and 3:30 pm for High school will be placed in the after-care program. Parents will be charged a $25.00 fee for the after-care service which must be paid upon returning to school.
